            One full month into his presidency, Barack Obama still has been unable to fill the top positions in his administration as, one after the other, his choices have had to pull out when the vetting process exposed their failure to pay taxes.

            The irony seems rich.  After all, the hallmark of the Democrat Party is making people pay more and more taxes and here, the leading Democrats don't pay theirs.  Except there is no irony here, nor is their hypocrisy.  Not hypocrisy as it is understood by most of us.

            When a conservative preaches one thing and does another typically what he preaches is something he believes in.  When the minister talks about monogamy he does so because monogamy is a better behavior.  If he falls short of what he preaches it is not because he doesn't believe it to be better but because, as a human being, he was fell short  of the ideal.

            Liberal hypocrisy is different.  The Liberal does not believe in what he preaches.  He doesn't believe that high taxes are good or that gun ownership is bad.  Instead he thinks the American people are bad and must be controlled through the confiscation of their incomes.  Since the Liberal knows himself to be "good," the purpose of high taxes – to prevent the bad people from exercising their will, does not apply to him.

            The Liberal knows that, with his money the churches won't be seeing a penny and guns won't be used on people who have "antipathy towards those who are different than they are" and therefore they don't need to pay taxes and can feel free to arm themselves as does Joe Biden (at least according to his campaign rhetoric) and Rosie O'Donnell.

            Taxation and infringement on our Constitutional Rights – such as gun ownership and the "Fairness Doctrine" designed to undermine free speech – are just additional means that the Democrats employ to steal the freedom of the American people, people they both fear and loathe.

It really is the regular folks vs the liberal hypocrite class.They hate us and think we are so stupid we will follow blindly.We regular folks have to think for ourselves and not sell each other out for the few pennies they throw our way.Stand together or hang separately.

Evan, well put! I totally agree with you, and it's frustrating knowing that liberals are like this. They "race bait", and want to change everyone into their ways of thinking, yet at our expense, not theirs...I'm amazed at how simple it is to follow the wording of the Constitution without trying to twist words that is, yet the liberals want to trash it and ignore it, and there are plenty of "stupid" Americans out there, like around 52% as Nov. 4th showed...We'll all pay for the simple majority of people who voted this man in, believeing that change is good...Not his kind! Great work Evan, keep it up and God bless you too!

Question for Mr. Sayet, did God give you the right to judge all people? You pretend to know liberals and Democrats, yet you know nothing. My entire family considers ourselves to be open minded and progressive thinkers. I guarantee that we neither fear nor loathe the American people. I clearly see that you actually loathe all Democrats. Is that a sign of Christian thinking?

"Liberal hypocrisy is different." This, in itself, IS hypocrisy. Hypocrisy is just that. If a preacher preaches monogamy and he cheats on his wife, then it's wrong. Plain and simple. Yes, people are human and make poor decisions. But to think you're better than someone else because you believe in something that you yourself can't uphold is utterly ridiculous.

First, there is no The Liberal, just as there is no The Conservative. What a ridiculous proposition you set up from the beginning, that somehow the country could be split into X and Y. Both sides have their hypocrites. On the conservative side we have the values people who always seem to be getting in bed with someone who isn't their wife, like Ensign or Larry Craig, but they certainly liked to bash the sinners in the old days. So we can play this hypocrisy finger-pointing game all day if you like, and I can come up with at least as many as you. But...it's pointless. This name-calling is a great rallying cry for the faithful, but it does nothing to solve the problems at hand. So, if you want to make yourself feel better and not spend any time actually thinking, then keep writing this pablum. If you want to get serious and deal with the opposition, spend some time talking to them, not burning them at the stake.
